Sprawling on the banks of the river Yamuna, Delhi, the capital of India, typifies the soul of the country. The city conceals within its bosom the remains of a civilization that flourished over the last three thousand years. Since those legendary days, many dynasties and rulers have flourished on its regal soil. The legacy of that past survives in the many monuments left behind by its rulers.

Sariska Palace – was built by Maharaja Jai Singh of Alwar, as his royal hunting lodge or Palace de Nature. Silhouetted against the nurturing arms of the Aravali range, this legacy of Maharaja, now a heritage hotel, is located right inside the Tiger Reserve.

Afternoon, jeep drive to the Sariska sanctuary to view wildlife. Set among valleys, hills and deep forests that change color with the seasons. It is home to an exotic variety of wild animals and beautiful birds.

After breakfast drive to Jaipur (156 kms) On arrival in Jaipur – check into the hotel Lunch at the hotel Afternoon, tour of the “Pink City” is spectacularly set within surrounding rugged hills, dotted with ancient ruined fortresses. Your tour will include the imposing City Palace, still home to the Maharaja although several of the rooms are now open to the public. Many antiques and artefacts belonging to the ruling family are housed here, including a collection of weaponry. You will also visit the Hawa Mahal “Palace of the Winds”, and the open-air Jantar Mantar Observatory to see the vast astronomical instruments. Enjoy a stroll through the colourful bazaar before returning to your hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Tour of Delhi visiting Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana – the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk. Check out at 1200 hrs. Afternoon visit Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate (War Memorial Arch ), Lakshminarayan Temple – a modern Hindu Temple. Also drive past President’s House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings and Connaught Place shopping centre. Evening transfer to airport to board flight for your home
